Members of the ASLEF union announced strike action and action short of strike impacting the industry until Saturday 10 February.
Unfortunately, this means that customers are likely to be impacted by a complicated period of reduced services, possible delays and disruption.
Please be advised, as a result of this action there will be no EMR services on Saturday 3rd February, and Sunday 4th February sees no EMR Connect services able to operate, combined with engineering work as outlined below.
Services to and from Collingham come under the EMR Regional category.
Saturday 3 February – Strike Day, No EMR Services, Do not travel.
No EMR services will be operating on this date. Rail Replacement Bus services will not be provided.
Strike action is also taking place on Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway – and other train operators may be running a reduced service due to action short of a strike.
Sunday 4 February – No EMR Connect Services and Engineering Work.
On Sunday 4 February, there will be no EMR Connect services running. Rail Replacement Bus services will not be provided.
There are also several changes to our planned timetable across our Regional and Intercity routes due to engineering works. Resulting in extended journey times and busy services. Rail replacement buses will run between Sheffield and Stockport. Customers should change at Stockport for onward connections.
Services to / from London St Pancras will be diverted, and no trains will be able to call at Market Harborough. Rail replacement buses will operate between Kettering, Market Harborough and Leicester.
All other routes are subject to short notice alterations and cancellations due to action short of a strike.
General advice to passengers between now and Saturday 10th February would be to check for journey updates for the full planned journey prior to travelling, as action short of a strike means that trains are subject to short notice alterations and cancellations.
