NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL NEEDS YOU!

Do you have 15 days a year and would like to help out?
We’re seeking volunteers on an ongoing basis to join our pool of independent
admission appeals panel members.
Nottinghamshire County Council is responsible for hearing appeals for many of the
primary schools and academies across Nottinghamshire when children have been
refused a place at a school.
The panel members are independent of Nottinghamshire County Council and schools.
Full training is provided so no experience is needed, nor will any experience in an
education setting adversely affect your application.
If you are interested in joining the panel or have any further questions, please email us
at: education.appeals@nottscc.gov.uk
Our Panel members come from all walks of life and bring a wide range of experience
and perspectives.
Mrs Beaumont said: “When I started being a panel member the Covid lockdowns had
just started so meetings were online. The process has been an interesting and fulfilling
experience. Meeting new people and listening to their stories has given me a closer
connection to my community.”
There is no closing date for applications and all training is offered by the Education
Appeals team at Nottinghamshire County Council
