As we’re leaving summer behind us and heading into autumn it is important to keep warm, particularly if you have long-term health conditions that make you vulnerable to the negative effects of living in a cold home.
If you live in a low-income household where someone has cold-sensitive long-term health conditions, the Nottinghamshire Warm Homes on Prescription project may be able to help you keep your house warmer for less.
The scheme provides funding for home improvements to help keep your home warmer. Improvements can include:
- boiler repairs/replacement
- new heating controls
- insulation
If you think you are eligible, you can apply online via the Warm Homes on Prescription application form or contact NSDC on 01636 655 596 or email on winterwarmth@newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk.
