A46 – LED lighting improvements

23 October 2023 for approximately 3 months, Monday to Friday, 8:00PM-6:00AM

A46, starting at the Winthorpe Interchange between Newark and Lincoln

National Highways will be upgrading the current lighting to LEDs on the A46, starting at the Winthorpe Interchange between Newark and Lincoln.

The new LED lighting will be more energy efficient and require less maintenance in the future.

They will work overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from 23 October 2023 for approximately 3 months, Monday to Friday.

To maintain a safe environment for the workforce, most of the work will be delivered under full carriageway and slip road closures. These will move along the road as our work progresses.

The diversion will be via the A17 and A15.

During our programme of work, National Highways will make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum.

National Highways always aim to work to programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.
